The Brown P-40 A-11
U.S. Pilot Watch
There are two ownership experiences:
A favorite collection, the Cincinnatus Field, is the perfect daily wearer.
A dive watch that lies low like a 70's sports car, and still can dive to 300 ft
I was close to buying a Hamilton Khaki Field, but Im very happy I decided to go with Cincinnati instead. I love everything about this watch. Hats off to the watchmakers, these guys are artists!
Owning the Cincinnatus has been a genuinely delightful surprise. The fit and finish are far better than I expected at this price, and the dial is absolutely mesmerizing in person, with a warmth and texture I catch myself staring at. What really won me over is how the design elevates the traditional field watch formula without losing its practicality. This is a watch I can dress up or down, rugged enough for daily wear but refined enough to dress up effortlessly. I've swapped it between the bracelet and a few different leather straps, and it somehow pairs beautifully with everything, making it a watch that feels instantly personal and even more fun to wear. And from the responsive customer service I received along the way, it's clear that Cincinnati Watch Co. isn't just making great watches. They're building a brand that genuinely cares about the people who buy them.
The Union Terminal Mechanical was about the 10th watch I added to my collection and it has been a favorite from day 1. It catches more eyes and gets more attention from friends, family, and colleagues than anything else. Even from non-watch people, if they're familiar with Cincinnati at all, something makes them notice and ask why it looks familiar. A couple of things:
1. It keeps time better than any other watch I own, including some it probably shouldn't out-perform.
2. While it's a 38mm, the lugs are small, so it wears a little smaller than that. If you have a huge wrist it will look a little small on you.
3. It may distract you - I said it catches a lot of attention, I also meant my own. I find myself staring at it multiple times a day.
4. The band it comes with is just...fine. I like the color, but I bought a paratrooper strap for it (one of my favorite kinds) and would consider a steel bracelet too.
5.
6. Sorry about 5, I was distracted by the dial of this watch...
I'm over the moon with this watch! I'm glad I was able to snag one. The dial is amazing, the lume lasts through the night and the power reserve on the automatic is ~67 hours. Finishing is top class and the bracelet is perfect.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this watch! It truly embodies the American spirit—independently made, full of originality and character, rugged yet highly practical, with outstanding build quality.
I especially enjoy the tactile feel of hand-winding it, and I really appreciate the meticulous regulation it undergoes before leaving the factory. Its accuracy actually surpasses many of the more expensive Swiss watches in my collection.
On the wrist, it feels perfectly balanced and comfortable. The edges are smooth and well-finished, never sharp or irritating. The lume is excellent, and the water resistance gives me complete confidence to wear it for any activity—it’s a true GADA watch.
I’m even considering getting a second Cincinnati Watch Company timepiece because I love it that much. Thank you for creating such an exceptional product!
Flawless Art Deco symmetry that could cure a mild case of OCD. The architectural aesthetic is pure 1930s elegance, but it’s those stark red hands that steal the show—like a splash of Campari in a bone-dry martini. It doesn’t just tell time; it politely suggests that the rest of your watch collection needs to get its act together.
I’m very happy with this watch. The build quality is excellent and the movement so far is accurate. I now prefer this watch over my Marathon SAR. Although I can beat the snot out of the SAR and it is more water resistant the Cincinatus is more comfortable. I also like not having to reset the time every few days just wind it every morning and it’s good to go.
