Architectural enamel pieces are made to order. The enamel is hand applied so there may be slight variations between what is pictured here and what you receive. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

This architectural enamel watch features a Ziggurat pattern engraved on the dial. The pattern is cut with the laser from .999 fine silver and covered with blue enamel. The vitreous (grand feu) enamel is from Japan and fired multiple times in the kiln at about 1400 degrees Fahrenheit.

The watch case is made in Stainless Steel by the Cincinnati Watch Company. The watch comes with a metal bracelet.

The watch features a Swiss Made Automatic Movement.

Making Cloisonné Dials

Champlevé dials begin with a pure silver dial blank. A pattern designed by the watchmaker and often taking inspiration from the architecture of Cincinnati is cut into the dial using a laser. The engraved elements cut by the laser are hand filled with enamel.

Applying the Enamel

Finely ground enamel is washed and mixed with water so that it can be applied to the dial using a fine brush.

The cells are filled with various colors to create shading, gradations, and to bring the image to life.

Firing the enamel

The enamel is built up layer upon layer. Each layer is fired at about 1400 degrees Fahrenheit in the kiln. The enamel grains melt creating a smooth surface that is fused to the silver dial blank. After firing the enamel is ground flat and given a final polish.

It's a beautiful watch

It's a beautiful watch. I love the Simplicity of the design and the homage to the Union Terminal clock. Like other reviews of suggested the strap leads a bit to be desired so I purchased a deep blue alligator strap with deployment buckle. Would also be interesting to see this on a bracelet. I've been waiting for the original Union Terminal watch for some time and once this one became available decided to purchase it and I'm extremely happy with my decision. Though I think I would have been equally happy with the original Union Terminal watch.

Beautiful piece

I was planning on getting a Union Terminal when they came back in stock, but then they dropped this banger which features a color scheme more to my preference. As I suspected it would be it is more gorgeous in reality than it is in photos. So proud to be able to wear this.

My second desk diver

I loved the blue one so much, I needed to have another one that better fit my Bengals gear. Brought it in to get resized and the jeweler admired it. "Who makes this? Cincinnati Watch? It's a beautiful piece"
